DÉMARCHE ARTISTIQUE : PORTRAIT DÉCONSTRUIT
Depuis plusieurs années, mon approche du Portrait a pour moteur la déconstruction.D’abord abordé d’une manière réaliste, voire presque classique, le Portrait est ensuite déconstruit d’une multitude de manières qui ont toujours pour but d’exprimer ce à quoi l’être humain est confronté et ce vers quoi il se dirige inéluctablement : sa déconstruction ! Ce parallélisme entre la forme et le fond, ce mouvement circulaire de déconstruction formelle et sémantique, représente actuellement le motif qui subjugue pour moi tous les autres, c’est-à-dire le cercle, la sphère. La symbolique de la terre en suspension est sans doute ma prise de position la plus franche face à notre avenir.
Sommes-nous appelés à survivre à notre égocentrisme qui fonce vers l’avant sans égard pour le passé et pour l’avenir?
ARTISTIC APPROACH : PORTRAIT DECONSTRUCTION
For many years now, the driving force behind my approach to the art of the Portrait has been the deconstruction of the subject.
If the Portrait is at first seen in an almost realistic and classical way, the various deconstruction phases that follow have a specific goal: to express what the human is confronted with and where he tends to go, that is to his own deconstruction! This parallelism between the form and the content, this circular movement of formal and semantic deconstruction, actually represents for me the main motive behind all others: that is the circle and the sphere. The symbolic of the earth in suspension is also by far the most franc and honest statement I can make regarding our future.
Are we called upon to survive our egocentric ways of going forward face down without any consideration for the past or the future?
